Careful application of the GIMP to a scan from my own copy of Ultimate Sandman volume 1 produced the subtle background for the style, I’ve added random quotes (I’ll collect more as they come to mind), and I’ve begun to nail down the linkroll. I may still have to shuffle things around to make them march the way I want (like maybe make a third column just for the links… not sure.)
We’ll see. Performance definitely a lot better than what I’ve been seeing on powweb or hostmonster, but then, it’s dedicated. Makes a difference.
